Our Story

This was originally going to be a novel.

The first words were put down in January 2015. For the next three and a half years, progress was sporadic and slow.

In fact, it barely left the launching pad. The drafting process created enough self-doubt to bring a promise to celebrate the Australian car industry down.

In late 2018, a couple of honest conversations changed the course of Chasing History. A novel featuring fictional characters was never the way to tell this story. It needed real faces, real cars and real contributions from Australians.

It’s taken a while to get going, but there is no doubt that this is the right way to celebrate an industry that meant so much to so many.
